No need to remove the hook from the winch cable – slide the cable through the opening provided in the metal sleeve and rubber bumper, then squeeze all three parts together. Heavy-duty construction. Prevents the cable from breaking by stopping the hook before it reaches the roller fairlead. Also stops rattling noises by keeping the cable nice and tight.
